Located in the wild and beautiful coastal mountains of Northern California. We are proud of our area. Pristine, and often unknown, it offers a surprising diversity of landscapes, plants, and animals. Whether you are backpacking in the Trinity Alps, relaxing on a lake, or fishing one of our rivers, you will be guaranteed to find an unparalleled outdoor experience. 

What we don't have is a lot of people. Trinity County has no incorporated cities, no stoplights, or crowds. The towns that make up our community are spread out and unique. The Hub is located in Weaverville, the largest of the towns and home to the courthouse, hospital, Forest Service, and the Trinity Lumber Company. There are also hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, art galleries, the Jake Jackson Museum, and the Joss House State Park. It is a charming place to spend time exploring. We are also at the heart of the Weaverville Basin Trail System, a network of 50 miles of trails providing immediate access to the community forest for your morning run, mountain bike ride, or a quick lunchtime hike up the hill for to check out the view. Weaverville is the perfect home base for your outdoor adventures in greater Trinity County.
